Looking Within
Across all spiritual traditions and from all wisdom teachings, from sages, masters, gurus, teachers, there exists a consensus:: The answers to life’s questions are not be found in the external world; rather they reside within oneself..
Spiritual seeking—longing for love, understanding, and contentment—differs fundamentally from acquiring knowledge in subjects like math, history, science, or literature. The journey toward self-discovery is an internal one, and no one else can embark on it for you.
While books, videos, techniques, and teachers can serve as sources of inspiration, guidance, challenges, or suggestions, they cannot fulfill your quest for wholeness. Ultimately, delving within is a personal endeavor that only you can undertake. For many, meditation serves as an initial practice for this inward journey.
Quotes
Everything in the Universe is within you.
~ Rumi
There's something within you that knows what to do.
There is a power greater than you
that knows how to take care of you without your help.
All you've got to do is to surrender to it.
Surrender your thoughts, your mind, your ego,
to the current that knows the way.
It will take care of you.
It will take better care of you than you can ever imagine.
~ Robert Adams
The love that you search for everywhere is already present within you.
It may be evoked by any number of people or events.
But finally, you must realize you are this love.
The source of all love is within you.
~ Gangaji
Your true nature is something never lost to you,
even in moments of delusion,
nor is it gained at the moment of enlightenment.
It is the nature of your own mind,
the source of all things,
your original luminous brilliance.
You, the richest person in the world,
have been going around laboring and begging,
when all the while the treasure you seek is within you.
It is who you are.
~ Huang Po

Solve that great problem and you will solve all other problems.

Unless you question, you can never learn. Let not the false sense of propriety or fear of blasphemy deter you from questioning the why and wherefore of your being. The answer to these questions will lead you to perfection.
Do not expect the living saints to answer these questions for you. If they do give answers at all, they are of no avail to you. The answer must come from within your own self.
~ Meher Baba

Deep within us all, there lies an inner teacher, a mystical bridge to reality, an echo of Boundless reality, which contains the memory of our holiness. Calling upon help from any aspect of awakened consciousness is a way of activating this memory – and any aspect that we personally relate to will work in this regard…….whether this for us is the Buddha, Jesus, Tara, Ramana Maharshi, a teacher or guide in whose presence we experience something of God. In truth, there is no separation, and so these beings, these manifestations of boundless awareness are not bound by time, form or space; thus we are not actually separate from them. The ground of their being is the very same ground as our own.
~ Miranda Macpherson

One doesn’t change the mirror.
